About

Eric Iyoob is a Cinematographer based in Northeastern Pennsylvania, known for his work with 16mm and 35mm film. A self-taught filmmaker, he began with a grassroots approachโ€”learning producing, shooting, editing, and color grading from the ground up. His roots in skateboard filmmaking shaped a visual language centered on experimentation, instinct, and raw visual impact. Ericโ€™s early professional work included music videos shot entirely on celluloid. That experience sparked a shift towards narrative storytelling and a deeper pursuit of emotionally charged imagery. He is drawn to stories rooted in realism and movement, with a visual style defined by tactile texture, high contrast, authenticity, and an emphasis on natural, lived-in environments. His work embraces imperfection, grain, and spontaneityโ€”favoring the visceral over the pristine.

This path has led to multiple narrative short films shot on 35mm and 16mm filmโ€””Finding Yourself”, “THRILL”, “With Such Fragile Hands”, “HUSH”โ€”amongst many other various projects on the analog medium, where he continues to explore character-driven stories and images that feel honest, cinematic, and handmade.

Eric is focused on film-forward visual storytelling across narrative, commercial, and music-driven work.
